How we rank
We rank by value, not commission. Here is exactly how that works.
Net value, not commission
Every card on SaveItSimple is ranked by its estimated net annual value — the rewards you would realistically earn on a representative spending profile, minus the annual fee. Commission we might earn never moves a card up or down. Where a high-paying card is genuinely worse value, we say so.
Where our numbers come from
- Card terms (fees, rates, eligibility) are taken from the issuer’s official documentation and entered into our database by a human.
- AI assists with drafting review prose, but it is never allowed to invent a fee, rate or eligibility figure — a quality gate blocks any page whose numbers do not match the verified record.
- High-stakes pages — anything touching credit scores, debt, rejection, eligibility or a bank’s specific legal terms — are reviewed by a person before publishing and never auto-published.
How the reward estimate works
For cashback cards we apply each category’s rate to a sample monthly spend; uncategorised spend earns the base rate. For miles and points cards we value the points earned at a transparent assumed rate. These are honest estimates for comparison, not guarantees — your real return depends on how you spend, which is why we give you a calculator to run your own numbers.
Affiliate relationships, disclosed
SaveItSimple earns a commission when you’re approved for some products through our links. This funds the research. It does not change our rankings, and we will never strip or override another publisher’s affiliate attribution. See our affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
